TRANSPORTING your passengers
As part of the TGM group, we maintain our own fleet of high quality coaches at Manchester, Stansted and Gatwick (in addition to over 1600 carefully vetted coach operators on our database). The Excel group has further expansion plans for its direct fleet.
Each third party operator is given a performance indicator based on performance, cost and response rate. In addition they are categorized by distance to their local airport.
Full-sized coaches do as little as 4 miles to the gallon, so the distance an operator is from the airport can have a dramatic effect on pricing.
- Our database allows us to use the most cost effective option at all times.
- We have full details of operators with DDA facilities for wheelchair and disabled passengers.
- We hold full out of hours contact details for all of our approved partner coach operators, together with estimated timings to any airport within a 40 mile radius of their base.
- All operators are carefully vetted and insurance, licenses, and independent maintenance inspections are logged and updated on the database.
- The system automatically generates email confirmations to the transport provider with all relevant details, together with a text message to the driver, and provides an estimated pick up and arrival time.
- We encourage our coach operator partners to fit our approved vehicle tracking system, allowing us to see where all the vehicles are in real time. The system is accurate to within 10 metres and 2 minutes. For volume users we will allow direct access to our tracking system.
Taxi services
Flight Delay Services have contracts in place with taxi providers at all major UK airports, who are carefully vetted by our Transport Department, to ensure licensing and safety requirements are fully maintained.
Flight Delay Services will arrange taxis and where necessary, executive limousines for First and Business Class passengers confirming supplier, timings, collection/delivery points and drivers mobile telephone numbers.
